It’s time for another round of team member introductions!  Today, we’re thrilled to feature our first BaubleBar Boy!  That’s right… we’ve hired our first male employee… our photo retoucher, Nick.  Naturally, he has an amazing sense of humor - which is evidenced not only by his photo above, but below in his interview.  Welcome, Nick -we couldn’t be more thrilled to have you on board!
Name: Nick Manske
1.  Your style, summed up in 3 words:  Austin versus Brooklyn.
2.  Spring Shopping Wish List: Phillip Lim Leather Motorcycle Jacket, Nike High Tops, Waxed Canvas Backpack
3.  Favorite BaubleBar piece (and why):  DEFINITELY the princess cuff. brings out my eyes.
4.  Favorite way to unwind:  Stoopin’ (on my front porch) with my fiancé Summer, my dog Flynn, and some beers. Playing video games (halo) with my brother. Or drunching with friends, and drunch is not a typo. it’s a combination of three words: breakfast, lunch, and drunk.
5. Favorite designer(s):  Don’t know. My stylist (fiance) does the shopping.
6.  Cocktail of choice:  The Hudson - vodka, diet coke, and a splash of orange juice. i invented this, and it looks like muddy water (hence the name), but it’s delicious. don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. I have a feeling i’ll be pouring a few of these at the next holiday party.
 7.  Must-have grooming product:  Sachajuan’s Hair Wax. Must have this stuff for good hair days.
8. Favorite magazine:  I haven’t lifted an actual magazine too recently, but online it’s either espn.com/dallas, where i’ll read anything having to do with the cowboys or mavericks, or you’ll find me on my regular sites that tell me about the hottest new indie rock boy bands. as far as actual magazines, i like vice, so that i can figure out what NOT to wear to work.
9. Favorite Vacation Destination:  Either Spain, or floating on a river or lake in my hometown of Austin, TX.

10. Favorite Place to Shop:  American Apparel, H&M, or thrift stores.

It’s here…warm weather, or at least glimpses of it…flowers blooming, birds chirping and the start of the wedding season. One BaubleBar member has festivities every single weekend through the end of June! With party after party it’s easy to get overwhelmed trying to figure out what to wear. Well, have no fear! BaubleBar is here to help with jewelry for any wedding setting, from destination beach-bound nuptials to the most traditional fare. And even if you aren’t focused on being the best-dressed wedding guest, these looks will have you ready for any summer fete in your repertoire.
We start out the month with a classic look. Think a wedding at The Plaza in New York or Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. The dress is super chic, without being over the top. For the jewelry pairing we went with a girl’s best friend: diamonds…well, the affordable type. On Monday we kick off with diamond earrings. These are an easy addition to any look, no matter the color, shape or neckline, so even the fashion fearful can easily dip their toe into today’s trend. With your hair pulled back, you will definitely turn a few heads. Wednesday will continue the sparkling theme with diamond jewelry of the necklace and bracelet variety. These are equally stunning but easy additions to a variety of festive looks - try wearing a collar necklace with a strapless dress for a look fit for a princess.
Next we turn to a romantic theme – think outdoor garden reception. The dress is feminine with a soft palette and even a ruffle or two. Nature themed jewelry is where we start off this week, but don’t worry…these pieces are anything but crunchy.  Gold and more delicate treatments give it a Midsummer’s Night Dream appeal – try layering a few long necklaces over a wispy maxi dress. And what is more feminine than a strand of peals? We couldn’t think of anything, so we look to this delicious stone for our Wednesday boutique. Wear a layered strand look, or pair a long earring with a few bangles for a look that’s oh-so-sweet.
These days, many people take a different direction and go for a modern wedding setting, like a gallery or a contemporary studio with a great view.  For this type of party, the guest can go for looks that are bolder in both color and cut. For the jewelry to wear with this look we give you two directions to try. First we go eclectic with Monday’s boutique of ethnic jewelry. We restricted the coloring to gold and neutrals to make each piece in this boutique an easy pairing with vivid hues. Wednesday’s boutique of dark sparkle is an equally fun topper for bold looks, but takes a more luxe direction.
Our last stop on the nuptial express is everyone’s favorite: the destination wedding. Who doesn’t love a reason to take a vacation? We chose to style for a beach setting. Flowy and airy dresses are the way to go here, and definitely loads of color! Our first boutique, coral, is great to wear when choosing a softer hue. If you are wearing something more vibrant, choose a few pieces from Wednesday’s boutique of white jewelry.
Now that you’re perfectly prepped for summer occasions, be ready for June - my birthday month.  We will be bringing you a bevy of amazing jewelry to suit whatever is your particular summer style.
Until then,
Shoshanna
